The genesis of the Iowa Trail Run Series started years ago at Sugar Bottom! It’s a great mix of technical, fast, and climbing all in one perfect setting on the Coralville Reservoir! Choose from the Half Marathon, 10K, or 5K distances.

Do you like to climb stairs? You will when you’re done experiencing Ledges’ famous hilly loops through scenic forest that features more steps than we care to count, two creek crossings, and one heck of a way to start your summer!

Your parents always told you not to play in the woods at night, right? Now’s your chance to give it a go! Take on the challenge of a one loop 5K or complete two loops for a 10K at Peterson Park just outside of Ames. There’s a great mix of single track trail, prairie, and gravel. You’ll do it all as the sun sets on a beautiful Iowa summer night!

We’re heading west to Waubonsie State Park, just south of Omaha and Council Bluffs, for our toughest challenge yet! Ten hours on the 3.6 MILE COURSE (KML file) through the Loess Hills and your challenge is to see how many laps you can complete from 7am to 5pm!
Choose from the Enduro, Team Enduro with up to four teammates, or the standard 5K and 10K.

We’re back at Warren County Parks’ Annett Nature Center for a beautiful fall run on Sunday morning. Race, relax, and enjoy the beautiful October colors through the gravel paths, dirt trails, and prairie grass.
